The Culture Wars?

The culture wars surrounding the topic of homosexuality have sucked up tremendous resources, have left devastated casualties in their wake, and continue to perpetuate polarization and enmity – most clearly seen in the divide between the Christian community and the gay community. The diversity and divisiveness surrounding gay issues is staggering.

  1. I struggle with calling it a "culture war"! Yes, homosexual people are a sub-culture grouping as are Christians. I do need to do some unpacking of this sentence at least for my own mindsake.

  2. Can we truly blame a "culture war" for sucking up resources, causing devasted casualties, and causing divisions?

  3. Please define "resources: and "casualties".

  4. The sin of sexually acting out one's same-sex attractions is not a culture issue, it is a sin nature issue. It has and is being done in many cultures. It crosses many cultures, it is not limited to any one culture therefore it can not be singled out as a "cultural war"

Believing God's word is truth and standing upon His foundations is not a cultural issue. People who hold God's word as truth also cross all cultures. With the exception of athesists there is not one culture out there that does not believe in God. God's truth, His words permeate through out the world. Again, they permeate through all cultures so again this is not a "culture" war folks.
